Meet Kelsey McCabe, a rising star in hotel marketing. Her efforts in using social media to transform the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport Hotel’s online merchandising make her a Leonardo Merchandising Hero!

Kelsey McCabe joined Hilton Worldwide as Business Development, Social Media & Marketing Coordinator just last year – her knowledge and expertise in social media have proven invaluable as Hilton moves more and more of its marketing efforts online.
Prior to joining Hilton, Kelsey served as a Sales Representative at Vegas Passport, and also completed an internship in Event Management at CRG Events.
Kelsey understands the value in social media and knows how to use the web to attract consumers and turn them into customers. She’s achieved Merchandising Hero status by using VBrochure™ to make the most of these avenues, helping the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport differentiate itself from the competition!
The main focus of DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport’s marketing strategy is leveraging social media and online initiatives to help them reach today’s online travel shoppers and stand out from the competition.
This includes using Facebook and other social media sites, and presenting a consistent visually compelling story across OTAs in Leonardo’s VNetwork.
“Social media is very important in today’s market,” Kelsey says. “DoubleTree uses these platforms to recommend restaurants, city attractions and travel tips.”
“It plays a role in customer service too, by letting guests know we are listening to any issues there may be and resolving that issue,” she says. “We understand social media is about engaging with customers and creating that one-to-one relationship.”
VBrochure™ fits into the hotel’s social media strategy perfectly. Kelsey states “I love the VBrochure Facebook Apps Suite! They set the DoubleTree apart from other competitors on Facebook. They are really user friendly – allowing the user to easily view photos and virtual tours in the context of the hotel’s overall story. They add another fun experience for our Facebook Fans. And the best part is the integration of a booking widget in each App allows visitors to book right from our Facebook page. It’s a great compliment to the way we’re using Facebook for our hotel.”
Taking advantage of the direct booking capabilities of the Apps, Kelsey added a “Hotel Packages” tab in her Multi-Media Player to inform guests about special packages offered by the hotel, and allow them to take advantage of the offers directly from their Facebook Page.
