Providing the general public with skills and innovative technological solutions has always been a distinguishing feature of the work carried out by Leonardo. Indeed, over the years, the Company has staged many initiatives designed to promote and preserve works of art and archaeological sites, and to create specific environments designed to conserve artistic objects.

In 2017, Leonardo’s commitment to art includes various initiatives which aim to support museums, including the Modern Art Gallery and Museums of the Twentieth Century in Milan, the concert seasons of some of the most important Italian theatres, such as Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Regio in Turin and the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, as well as exhibitions with a mainly scientific theme, such as, for instance “Marte: incontri ravvicinati con il pianeta rosso” (Mars: close encounters with the red planet), held in Rome and Matera.

Over the years, Leonardo has also helped to protect the historical, archaeological and artistic heritage of Italy by making available its technologies of excellence, developed in laboratories responsible for performing advanced research in the field of Aerospace, Defence and Security.
