Leonardo joins the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index 2021 for the first time

Leonardo has been included, for the first time, in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) 2021, a modified market capitalization-weighted index that aims to track the performance of public companies committed to transparency in gender-data reporting. The index measures practices linked to the inclusion and enhancement of diversity, and represents a further tool for investors to assess company performance. The GEI measures gender equality across five pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brand. The analysis of the report shows that 17 out of 380 companies included in the index are Italian – Italy is placed among the top four countries at a global level in the ranking – and the 17 firms are in the industrial sector.

Leonardo obtained the maximum score on the disclosure of the requested information. This rewards the commitment to transparency towards investors and all stakeholders that the Company has been pursuing for years, responding to the growing attention of the market to performance, not only economic and financial, but also social, environmental and governance.
