New Challenges await on Solvers Wanted

25 July 2022

The second Call for Solutions launched on the Solvers Wanted platform presents two new and challenging themes for start-ups, universities, spin-offs and research bodies, who will have the opportunity to put forward their ideas, solutions and projects for enriching Leonardo’s innovation ecosystem.

The new Call for Solutions is on and can now be accessed on the Leonardo Solvers Wanted platform. Aimed at the academic world, research bodiesstart-ups and innovative SMEs,  the project has been created to stimulate the research and innovation process through targeted initiatives and events, based on the Open Innovation strategy outlined during Innovation Day on the 14th July this year.

The new challenges aim to identify and promote innovative solutions that will become core features of the products of the future:

  • Brain-Computer Interface
Identify new solutions that can predict the thoughts of a human operator and initiate and perform simple actions displayed on a computer screen via manned remote control, without the use of any motor processes.
  • Structural Batteries for the Aerospace Industry
Evaluate multifunctional materials or coupled systems that can not only serve as a structural element but also ensure energy storage.

The winners will be awarded a collaboration contract with Leonardo to implement their respective solutions. They will also be able to join the ‘Leonardo Team for Innovation’ network and use the network’s symbol alongside their own logo.

Project proposals can be sent from today. Visit Solvers Wanted now to take part!

The deadline for project proposals is the 30th of September 2022.
