SPAZIO ai giovani e alla cultura scientifica!

Abbiamo partecipato al National Geographic Festival delle Scienze 2018 come Educational Partner, testimoniando concretamente il nostro impegno alla formazione di una cultura scientifica tra le nuove generazioni.

Grazie al contributo di Leonardo, oltre 18.000 giovani visitatori hanno potuto partecipare gratuitamente ai laboratori e alle attività didattiche del National Geographic Festival delle Scienze 2018 con approfondimenti sul tema centrale della manifestazione, “La causa delle cose”. L’Auditorium Parco della Musica ha ospitato l’evento dando vita al suo interno a spazi ludici, interattivi, informali, in grado di coinvolgere anche i più piccoli. Scienziati, filosofi, innovatori giornalisti, ricercatori e artisti hanno popolato il Festival, per confrontarsi in maniera interdisciplinare sul tema dell’evento con le giovani generazioni.

Questo è l’impegno di Leonardo come Educational Partner: scendere in campo per promuovere la propria cittadinanza scientifica, testimoniandola in presa diretta, raccontando la preziosa collaborazione che ogni giorno guida fianco a fianco industria e mondo della ricerca verso il futuro.

La nostra presenza al National Geographic Festival delle Scienze è stata rafforzata da una testimonial di eccellenza, la professoressa e scienziata Amalia Ercoli Finzi, del Politecnico di Milano che, insieme a un team di Leonardo, ha incontrato bambini e studenti in un percorso attraverso i principali laboratori dedicati alla missione su Marte, all’esplorazione spaziale, come anche alla teoria delle onde gravitazionali e partecipando anche ad un Talent show sulla scienza, il Fame Lab.

Nelle parole di Amalia Ercoli Finzi, l’incredibile esperienza di donna e scienziata, la passione per lo Spazio e per la conoscenza. Nei suoi occhi, la curiosità e la fiducia nel talento anche dei più piccoli. Al suo fianco, il nostro collega Marco Molina, CTO della LoB Spazio di Leonardo, ha portato al Festival la “trivella” marziana realizzata nei nostri laboratori di Nerviano per la Missione Exomars 2020, un gioiello tecnologico, un esempio di robotica spaziale, che per la prima volta scaverà nel suolo marziano sino a due metri di profondità, per raccogliere preziosi campioni e svelare se hanno tracce di vita passata o presente.
