In June 2026, Angelo Pansini was officially appointed Chief Strategy & Technology Officer of Leonardo S.p.A.

Since 2023, he has served as Chief of Staff to the Managing Director of MBDA Italia, with responsibility also for the Protocol & Customer Engagement, Sponsorships and Building Engineering & Facility Management functions.

Over the previous two years, he held the role of Chief of Staff to the Co-General Manager of Leonardo S.p.A.

Prior to these positions, he was part of Leonardo’s Commercial Department, where he served as Senior Vice President for Commercial Planning & Offset Management.

From 2013 to 2019, he was Director of Strategies and Competitive Analysis for the Naval and Land Electronic Systems Business Unit (initially within Selex ES).

In 2011, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Selex Sistemi Integrati, with responsibility for Engineering, Production, and Support activities. He subsequently served as Director of Strategic Planning for the Avionics Division.

In 2002, he joined the Corporate structure as Head of Group Strategic Planning, later expanding his responsibilities to the Strategic Development department, where he contributed to the execution of several key acquisitions (including Westland, Aermacchi, Datamat, BAE Systems Avionics, and DRS).

Angelo Pansini was born in Naples in 1960, where he graduated cum laude in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II.
He is married and has two children.
