EUROSATORY, LEONARDO PRESENTS THE CYBER DEFENCE SUITE

Paris,  15 June 2026

The new solution can be applied to the protection of armoured vehicles and ground systems, naval platforms, avionics mission systems, space infrastructures, and their respective ground control segments.

At Eurosatory 2026, Leonardo presented the Cyber Defence Suite, a new solution developed by the company to ensure the integrity and reliability of mission-critical systems in the face of the ever-evolving cyber threat landscape.

The current defence environment operates in increasingly complex multi -domain scenarios, where land, naval, air and space platforms are tightly interconnected and rely on digital architectures, distributed sensor networks, and command and control infrastructures. While digitalisation and high interoperability enhance operational effectiveness, they also inevitably expand the cyber attack surface, even in the presence of factors such as unstable communications, legacy hardware, and physical vulnerabilities. Armed Forces therefore require advanced cyber capabilities to protect their strategic assets throughout the entire mission lifecycle, ensuring cybersecurity despite the evolution of cyber threat vectors. At the same time, they must operate in a coordinated manner across multiple assets belonging to different domains, classification levels, and operational conditions.

To address this need, Leonardo’s Suite combines the strategic level with the tactical and operational dimensions. This is achieved through a federated system integrating the Global Cybersec Platform, the Tactical Cybersec Platform, and the Cyber Cell, which is being showcased at the event.

The Global Cybersec Platform operates within the Armed Forces’ remote strategic coordination centre, where it provides cyber intelligence activities, global threat awareness, and continuous updates. At the same time, the platform acts as a central control dashboard, designed to federate and aggregate the overall cyber defence capabilities.

Deployed at logistics bases, the Tactical Cybersec Platform acts as an operational bridge between the strategic level and systems deployed in the field. The platform oversees the management of multiple Cyber Cells deployed in the operational theatre, ensuring synchronisation with strategic headquarters both in fully connected and disconnected modes.

Each onboard Cyber Cell ensures cyber security autonomously and independently of connectivity. The unit also transfers operational data to the tactical level, enabling the bidirectional information f low of the Cyber Defence Suite: the updated knowledge base is propagated in a top-down manner to peripheral levels, while operational telemetry flows in a bottom-up direction.

Leonardo’s Cyber Defence Suite – engineered to operate in both synchronous and asynchronous modes – is designed to protect armoured vehicles and ground systems, secure naval platforms, and safeguard avionics mission systems, space infrastructures, and their respective ground control segments.
