Indra Group and Leonardo have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reinforce their cooperation in cyber defence, with the aim of jointly identifying and expanding their international reach within Europe, NATO and in other high-potential markets.
The agreement was signed today at Leonardo’s Headquarters in Rome (Italy) by Indra Group CEO José Vicente de los Mozos and Roberto Cingolani, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Leonardo.
Through this collaboration, the two companies will strength their capabilities to accelerate innovation and reinforce the cyber defence of Institutions and critical infrastructures, providing advanced solutions, specialized training, and a coordinated response to increasingly complex threats.
The agreement also envisages the joint provision of managed cyber defence services for public and private customers.
Ángel Escribano, Indra’s executive chairman, recalled that agreements such as the one that’s been signed “regulate and accelerate European industrial cooperation with clear governance to facilitate flexible joint bids and the rigorous execution of projects. Our role as a trailblazing company will enable us to activate value chains based on sovereign, open, and interoperable capabilities for Europe and NATO, ensuring that the critical knowledge and technological property remain under EU control. With interconnected operations centers, advanced threat intelligence sharing and cyber defence training environments, we can turn the collaboration into strategic autonomy and effective deterrence.”
