Leonardo is expanding its strategic partnership with Microsoft Italia and launching an ambitious program to support the Group’s digital transformation through initiatives focused on innovating tools and work methods. The “Digital Horizon - A New Era of Collaboration” project, developed in partnership with Microsoft, serves as the conceptual framework for the introduction of the Microsoft 365 cloud productivity platform and generative artificial intelligence within the company. The goal is to foster new ways of collaborating and support the gradual integration of AI into work processes, leveraging the capabilities of Copilot.

Digital Horizon marks a significant milestone in Leonardo’s digital transformation journey, providing approximately 50,000 people across the Group with the modern work tools that are part of the Microsoft Teams platform, enabling them to collaborate in real time and work remotely in an increasingly seamless and effective manner, thanks to the synchronization of documents and communications on Microsoft OneDrive and Outlook in the Microsoft cloud. Individuals and teams will also have access at any time to an AI assistant that is integrated into the corporate context and can leverage Microsoft 365 Copilot to support the creation, analysis, and synthesis of content within a secure and trusted environment.

The collaboration between Leonardo and Microsoft is reflected not only in the implementation of cutting-edge technology but also in the emphasis placed on training. The program helps Leonardo employees navigate the new digital ecosystem through short training modules, guidelines, and support tools such as the “When to Use What” smart compass, while also delving into the most advanced prompting strategies and introducing AI agents. A widespread network of colleagues, the “Digital Pioneers,” supports the adoption of new tools and the development of best practices to be shared throughout the company.
