Finmeccanica: AnsaldoBreda awarded a EUR 210 million contract for the Milan metro system

AnsaldoBreda, a Finmeccanica Company, was awarded by ATM Milano the tender for the supply of 30 metro trains with 6 coaches, for a total amount of EUR 210 million.

AnsaldoBreda, a Finmeccanica Company, was awarded by ATM Milano the tender for the supply of 30 metro trains with 6 coaches, for a total amount of EUR 210 million. The order from ATM envisages for a further option for the supply of an additional 30 trains.

The vehicles will replace those currently in operation on lines 1 and 2 of the Milan metro system. Specifically, the lot provides 20 metro trains for line 1 and 10 for line 2. The trains, manufactured by AnsaldoBreda, will be the most modern in circulation, with all the parameters of comfort (air conditioning) and security (internal video surveillance system).
