Finmeccanica: contract worth more than EUR 500 million as part of the Eurofighter programme

Finmeccanica, through its company Alenia Aermacchi, has won a contract worth more than EUR 500 million to supply technical and logistical support services as part of the Eurofighter Typhoon programme.

Finmeccanica, through its company Alenia Aermacchi, has won a contract worth more than EUR 500 million to supply technical and logistical support services as part of the Eurofighter Typhoon programme. The agreement is part of the broader five-year agreement signed by the Eurofighter GmbH consortium with NETMA (NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency) to provide support for the fleet of Typhoon aircraft belonging to the four Eurofighter partner nations: Italy, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The partner companies in the Eurofighter programme - Alenia Aermacchi in Italy, BAE Systems in the UK and Cassidian in Germany and Spain - will work closely with local Air Forces and Ministries of Defence to implement the systems for providing logistical support services and to handle future client requirements.

With 559 aircraft under production contract and 321 delivered, Eurofighter Typhoon represents Europe’s largest ever industrial military partnership program, enabling the development of technology and innovative industrial processes and reinforcing the European aerospace industry within the global competition
