Finmeccanica statement in reference to reports published in today's news

In reference to reports published in today’s news, Finmeccanica clarifies that:

ATR is an equal joint venture between the Airbus Group and Finmeccanica, run independently by its own management which is responsible for business decisions.
As an independent legal entity, ATR signs contracts directly with its customers. Finmeccanica doesn’t have any direct involvement in ATR’s business operations and therefore could not be sanctioned by the US government, as wrongly suggested in some media reports.
A statement saying that the contract has been signed by Finmeccanica is completely false.
ATR has already clarified to the media that Meraj Group has not been involved in any commercial negotiation. Such activities are underway with the company Iran Air.

Finmeccanica reserves the right to take necessary actions to protect the interest of the company and its stakeholders.
