Selex ES, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that it has entered into agreement with Partech to ensure outstanding avionics test and evaluation capability for Australia's Defense aircraft fleet. Known as JATCA, (Joint Avionics Test Capability Australia), this initiative has already won the support of a number of major Australian and international defence contractors, including Australian Aerospace.
Australian Aerospace, supplier of Multi Role Helicopters and Armed Reconnaissance Helicopters to Australian Defense with an enviable record in supporting local defence industry, has signed a Letter of Intent with the JATCA team to explore the benefits in terms of reduced cost and improved turnaround times achievable through use of the New South Wales based Avionics Test Facility.
The JATCA team is anticipating initial requests for the development of avionics test solutions and repair regimes for key avionics systems on a number of Australian Aerospace maintained fixed and rotary winged aircraft to be made mid 2013.
Nowra based Partech is an Australian leader in the development of F-35 avionics test solutions and through the use of LM-STAR test equipment provided by Selex ES is uniquely placed to provide a full suite of avionics support services from development, manufacture and through life support.
