10 May 2024

Nicco, Max, Aaniya, and Emma have won an internship at Leonardo’s offices in Washington, DC, as part of a challenge, promoted in collaboration with the Georgetown University Italian Research Institute, in search of innovative ideas to achieve the objectives set by the company's Sustainability Plan.

Engaging universities and students is an important channel for attracting talents and key skills. This includes the consolidated collaboration between Leonardo and the Italian Research Institute of Georgetown University, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the United States.

For the second year in a row, Leonardo has taken part in the initiative promoted by the University: a contest aimed at students with the call to propose innovative ideas to business challenges.

This year, the initiative launched by Leonardo focused on Sustainability and asked participants to develop a strategy to cascade out, through concrete actions, the objectives of the Company’s Sustainability Plan, a strategic element for achieving the targets set by the Group's 2024-2028 Industrial Plan.

During the annual workshop "Innovative Solutions to Business Challenges Leading to Paid Internships", the team winners, composed of Nicco, Max, Aaniya and Emma, were announced, and were awarded with a paid internship at the Leonardo offices in Washington DC.
