Gian Piero Cutillo has been Co-General Manager of Leonardo since 7 May 2026.

He graduated in Economics from the University of Siena and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Turin.

He has decades of experience within the Leonardo Group, which he joined in 2003. 

From 2017 to 2026, he served as Managing Director of the Helicopters Division, contributing to the expansion of the Division’s commercial business and industrial network, ensuring solid and continuous economic and financial growth, and strengthening Leonardo’s competitive positioning in the global helicopter sector.

From 2012 to 2017, he held the role of Chief Financial Officer, after taking on increasing responsibilities within the Group’s Finance and Planning & Control functions.

He began his professional career in 1989 at Texas Instruments, working between Italy and the United States in the field of Operating Planning and Control. In 1995, he returned to Europe as Operations Control Manager. Between 1997 and 1998, he served as Head of Administration and Management Control at Olivetti Computers, before joining the Piaggio Group as Senior Vice President in the Planning and Control Division, a position he held for almost five years.
