Fondazione Leonardo Civiltà delle Macchine and Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli are promoting a series of meetings entitled “Tempi Moderni 2030” (Modern times 2030), the goal of which is to investigate ongoing de-industrialisation issues and identify new lines of development in the face of the challenges posed by the pandemic. The meetings, organised with the support of Fondazione Ansaldo and the State Archives of Genoa, will begin in Genoa on 29 October at 5:30 PM CET, with the first talk entitled “Modern times – Waves of development”.
The event forms part of the Festival of Science and will be streamed on social media channels and via the websites of Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli, Fondazione Leonardo – Civiltà delle Macchine and Fondazione Ansaldo.
The subsequent meetings will take place on 19 November in Naples and on 3 December in Taranto, cities, which together with Genoa, best represent the problems raised by the disappearance of industry in Italy.
At the Genoa meeting, Leonardo’s Roberto Cingolani (Chief Technology and Innovation Officer) will be speaking with the Mayor of Genoa, Marco Bucci and with Paolo Emilio Signorini from the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority.
