Dialogues is based on conversations between specialists at Leonardo's Cyber Security Division and authoritative experts on topics such as security, data centrality, digital transformation and mission-critical communications. In this new video format series, a discussion comes together by asking each guest the same questions; not only on technical issues, but also on their vision of the technological evolution taking place in their specific markets and fields of reference.
The first of these conversations focuses on the security of Critical Communications; these are communications that must be functional and secure even in emergency situations – not only for law enforcement and first responders, but also within a business setting.
Being interviewed in this inaugural episode are Tony Gray, CEO of The Critical Communications Association (TCCA) and Milco Fabiani, VP Police Forces and Homeland Security of Leonardo's Cyber Security Division.
TCCA is an international association that brings together the main stakeholders of the critical communications market including governments, regulators, manufacturers (including Leonardo) and end-users, in order to direct and promote the development of the market sector. TCCA works closely with organisations responsible for developing mobile communications standards such as ETSI and 3GPP; this makes Tony Gray, together with Milco Fabiani, an ideal person to paint a picture of the current market, in which new broadband technologies are gradually being added to the consolidated narrowband technologies.
The interview explores the central theme of the future development of broadband communications professionals, from primary interest to security operators. During the first episode of the Dialogues series, TCCA and Leonardo propose their vision for the overall evolution of this important sector by answering some crucial questions together.
