Since its constitution in the late 1940s, NATO has been synonymous with national security and safety. Over recent years Selex ES has played an increasingly major role in strengthening this reputation following its involvement in a series of initiatives with high level partners, enabling the company to demonstrate its cutting-edge capabilities in the security sector.
The latest example is the company’s inclusion in the Lockheed Martin team that will provide the Active Network Infrastructure (ANWI) for NATO’s new headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
Under a three year contract, Selex ES will work with Lockheed Martin to implement secure communication services throughout the new NATO building, including wireless voice and data communication systems and IP television services for users’ devices. NATO staff and National Delegations will be supported with state-of-the-art capabilities and will be allowed to use their preferred method of communication easily, reliably and securely.
Selex ES was already working as a partner of choice for NATO following the award a contract in February 2012 to develop, implement and support the NATO Computer Incident Response Capability (NCIRC) - Full Operating Capability (FOC). Working alongside NATO, Selex ES and its partner Northrop Grumman, lead a team that is delivering the NCIRC - FOC that will enhance information assurance at over 50 NATO sites and headquarters throughout 28 member states. All the services offered by the new ANWI programme will be fully integrated with the NCIRC architecture.
