On 13 November, during of the Broadway Interim Demonstration, the end user evaluation committee met at a virtual event to examine the effectiveness of Leonardo’s communication solution.
This solution consists of an interoperable European mobile network solution for use by police forces and security operators, which allows broadband voice, data and video communications, with a high degree of security and reliability.
Over 50 participants dialed in to this prestigious event, including the Italian Ministry of the Interior.
The Leonardo Team performed a series of specific tests on a test bed, simulating 4 interconnected national networks connected to base stations and terminals. End users were impressed with the overall test result, and in particular, how well the solution has been designed – which is evident in how user friendly the proposed solution is. The final test is scheduled for April 2021, whereby end users will evaluate the completion of tests on a number of platforms including:
- the LTE network,
- the logging systems,
- the Enterprise Mobility Management systems for data protection on mobile devices,
- and the security aspects and the integration with the TETRA network.
