The Leonardo - Rheinmetall Military Vehicles joint venture (JV) has delivered the first four Lynx armoured infantry vehicles to the Italian Army. Reports on the ceremony in major Italian and international newspapers.

Yesterday, at the Italian Army's Multipurpose Testing Centre in Montelibretti (Rome, Italy), the handover ceremony was held for the first four Lynx armoured vehicles, manufactured by the Leonardo - Rheinmetall Military Vehicles (LRMV) joint venture. The supply is part of the A2CS (Army Armoured Combat System) programme which, together with the Main Battle Tank (MBT) programme, will renew the Italian Army's heavy vehicle fleet.

The joint venture, launched in October 2024, aims to become a reference hub in the land defence sector in Europe. Roberto Cingolani, CEO and General Manager of Leonardo, emphasised the strength of the alliance with Rheinmetall for the strengthening of national defence and the development of an integrated and competitive European industrial base.
