The Skydweller drone features unique characteristics: Autonomous and perpetual flight, very high load capacity, advanced materials and the use of powerful algorithms to process the data collected. The solar-powered craft has applications ranging from surveillance to telecommunications, from meteorology to georeferencing, in which Leonardo plays a leading role. The project also stands out for its near-zero emissions, thanks to the cleanest energy available – power from the Sun.
