The fleet of AgustaWestland helicopters in the police forces Japanese Kanematsu Corporation increases as the company announced an order by JNPA (Japan National Police Agency) for a AW109 Power light-twin engine helicopter, which will be managed by the Kyoto police. The aircraft will replace an obsolete B-206 model and will be delivered to the customer in December 2015, configured for missions of law enforcement with equipment such as rescue rescue hoist, search light and rappelling kit.

This brings to 27 the number of AW109 helicopters that operate in law enforcement missions for the JNPA, making it the largest single helicopter type and single-engine fleet, operating with JNPA and prefectures throughout Japan. The AW109 series is used in 26 of the 47 Japanese prefectures, representing a market share of 57%. With the AW139 and AW101 aircraft already in place and including the ones to be delivered, the total of AgustaWestland helicopters in service with JPNA will reach the number of 39.

The helicopter with SBAS compatible GPS, which provides the pilot the most versatile methods of navigation, will be delivered in the autumn of 2015 to Japan and subsequently configured for JNPA, which will include the set up of radios for the local police carried out by Nakanihon Air Service in Nagoya, one of the service centers authorized for both AW109 and AW139 series.

On the other of the hemisphere, AgustaWestland has handed over to US Life Flight Network the fifteenth AW119 Kx. This is an important achievement for the Finmeccanica company as in less than two years has been able to build, integrate, certify and deliver 15 helicopters to the American launch customer specialized in health care and emergency services operating in the West and Northwest of the United States.
