There has been a remarkable response by the Group employees to the call for the 2015 Finmeccanica Innovation Award, which has been tapping the innovative skills of the Group's companies for ten years. All the Finmeccanica Group companies, in Italy and abroad, have entered the competition, submitting more than 600 projects.

This year the Finmeccanica Innovation Award opens its doors to university students in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, IT and Chemistry from all Italy's universities. Students, recently graduated and graduate, can use their creativity and their innovative skills, draw on what they have learned in the academic world and be challenged by the world of industry. The winners in each category will be offered internships in the Group's companies, financial prizes and the chance to take part in the awards ceremony in October at Expo 2015, which will be attended by representatives of Italian public institutions as well as of scientific and technological bodies.

Young university students must submit the projects by September 15. Details are available at www.premioinnovazionefinmeccanica.com. The website allows students to submit their proposals in research linked to one of the business areas of the Finmeccanica Group. These include: 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing, Autonomous Systems, Cyber Security and Low Observability.
