Training

Leonardo offers its people continuous, targeted career development and training initiatives that aim to identify and nurture the best talent, while enriching the skills and competences of the entire company. Such programmes aim, for example, to boost the Group's key values and competences (Accelerate), to nurture individual careers and support internal mobility (Job Posting), and to transfer knowledge and develop professional skills (Faculty).

These are just a few of the programmes through which Leonardo invests in its people and enhances their know-how. This investment means that employees are increasingly able to respond to the new challenges posed by the market – first and foremost the need for continuous innovation.

This approach consolidates the set of values, skills and behaviours making up the Leonardo Leadership Framework.

Agreement with Coursera for ongoing employee training

Through Leonardo’s agreement with Coursera, the world's leading digital platform for Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC), the Group has further strengthened the training opportunities offered to its people. This decision reflects Leonardo’s commitment to the professional and individual growth of colleagues as vital elements in the development and sustainability of the company.

Through Coursera’s rich and structured training – including more than 4,500 courses in 11 subject areas and around 500 specialisation programmes – Leonardo enables employees worldwide to follow multiple training paths. This approach supports the idea of life-long learning tailored to the needs of individuals and helps colleagues to acquire new professional and personal skills.

Leonardo employees have unlimited access to Coursera’s extensive training, with 50% of its courses being linked to the Leonardo Competence Management System and delivered by 211 of the world’s most prestigious universities and leading hi-tech companies.

Moreover, every employee is given the chance to obtain a record of their training, issued by Coursera on behalf of its partner universities and hi-tech companies, and to publish certificates directly on their LinkedIn profile.

This collaboration between Leonardo and Coursera boosts the Group’s use of Mobile Learning and employee access to training.
